OUR MANUFACTURING PROCESS

Precision at Every Stage — From Temple to Your Warehouse

Every product that leaves our facility has passed through the same rigorous 6-step process. No shortcuts. No batch mixing. No outsourcing to sub-suppliers. What you receive is exactly what was inspected and approved — because we manufactured it ourselves, in-house, start to finish.

Our 6-Step Manufacturing Process

Ethical Sourcing from South Indian Temples — HEBN process step 01
01

Ethical Sourcing from South Indian Temples

All hair processed in our facility originates from voluntary donations at temples in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. This centuries-old tradition — known as tonsuring — involves devotees offering their hair as an act of devotion and gratitude. The hair is collected by temple authorities and made available through established sourcing networks.

We maintain direct relationships with these sourcing networks, bypassing brokers and middlemen who often mix hair from unknown origins. This direct sourcing means every bundle that arrives at our facility is traceable to its region of origin, and we can verify that it was voluntarily donated — not commercially purchased under duress.

The raw hair arrives naturally dark (black to dark brown), unprocessed, and with the cuticle layer intact and aligned in a single direction. This natural cuticle alignment is what makes Indian temple hair the global benchmark for Remy quality.

02

Hand Sorting & Quality Grading

Raw temple hair arrives in mixed bundles containing a range of lengths, thicknesses, and natural textures. Our sorting team — trained artisans with years of experience — hand-sort every bundle by four criteria:

  • Length: Grouped into 2-inch increments (16″, 18″, 20″, etc. up to 40″)
  • Thickness: Separated by strand diameter — fine, medium, and thick
  • Texture: Classified as naturally straight, wavy, curly, or coily
  • Quality grade: Assessed for cuticle integrity, tensile strength, and overall condition

Single-donor bundles are kept separate throughout the entire sorting process. We never mix hair from different donors within a single production batch — this is what ensures the consistency that our B2B buyers depend on for repeat orders.

Hand-sorted by 4 criteria — no batch mixing

Hand Sorting & Quality Grading — HEBN process step 02
Gentle Cleaning & Conditioning — HEBN process step 03
03

Gentle Cleaning & Conditioning

Sorted hair undergoes a multi-stage cleaning process designed to remove impurities while preserving the hair’s natural properties:

  • Initial rinse — Removes surface dust and debris
  • Deep cleanse — Mild, pH-balanced shampoo treatment removes oils and residue without stripping the cuticle
  • Conditioning — Protein-based conditioning treatment restores moisture and strengthens the hair shaft
  • Final rinse — Ensures all product residue is completely removed

What we do NOT use: acid baths, silicone coatings, or harsh chemical treatments. Many manufacturers use these shortcuts to make low-quality hair appear smooth and shiny temporarily — but the coating washes out after a few uses, revealing tangled, matted hair underneath. Our process preserves the natural cuticle alignment, which means the hair maintains its quality through months of wear, washing, and styling.

No acid baths — no silicone — natural cuticle preserved

Manufacturing to Your Specifications

This is where raw hair becomes a finished product — manufactured to the exact specifications provided by our B2B buyers:

  • Extension types: I-Tip, U-Tip, Flat Tip, Nano Tip, machine weft, hand-tied weft, tape-in, clip-in — every major installation method
  • Wigs: Full lace, lace front, mono base, silk base — closure wigs (2×4 to 5×5) and frontal wigs (13×4, 13×6)
  • Toppers: All base types (mono, lace, silk) in sizes from 2×2 to 6×6+ — standard, receding hairline, back comb, front bangs
  • Men’s systems: Patches, toupees, full cap systems in mono, lace, silk, and poly bases
  • Closures & frontals: HD lace, Swiss lace, in standard and custom sizes
  • Color processing: 30+ standard colors including ombre, highlights, piano color, and custom shade matching

Every product is manufactured in-house. We do not outsource to sub-suppliers. This single-facility production is what guarantees consistency across orders — the same team, the same equipment, the same standards, every time.

100% in-house manufacturing — zero outsourcing

Manufacturing to Your Specifications — HEBN process step 04
5-Point Quality Inspection — HEBN process step 05
05

5-Point Quality Inspection

No product ships from our facility without passing our 5-point quality check. Every item is inspected individually — not sampled from the batch:

  1. Cuticle alignment test — Visual and tactile inspection confirms all cuticles face the same direction. Misaligned cuticles cause tangling and matting — we reject any product that fails this test.
  2. Tensile strength test — Individual strands are tested for breaking strength. Weak hair means shedding — we don’t ship it.
  3. Color consistency check — Product color is compared against the master swatch to ensure accuracy. No shade variation between what was ordered and what ships.
  4. Weight accuracy — Every bundle, set, or piece is weighed on calibrated scales. The weight matches what was specified — no under-filling.
  5. Construction integrity — Weft stitching, tip bonding, lace knotting, and base construction are inspected for durability. Loose stitching or weak bonds are caught before packaging.

Products that fail any of these five checks are pulled from the order and replaced. We do not ship borderline quality — either it passes or it doesn’t.

5-point QC on every item — not batch sampling

Packaging & Global Shipping

Inspected products are packaged for export — either in our standard packaging or in your custom branded packaging (private label orders):

  • Standard packaging: Clean, professional poly bags with product labels indicating type, length, color, weight, and batch number
  • Custom packaging: Your branded hang tags, satin labels, printed boxes, tissue paper inserts, and care cards — your customer sees only your brand
  • Export documentation: Commercial invoice with HS codes, packing list with weights and dimensions, certificate of origin (India), fumigation certificate when required

Questions About Our Manufacturing Process

Q1. Do you outsource any part of the manufacturing to other factories?

No. Every stage of our process — sorting, cleaning, manufacturing, quality inspection, and packaging — happens in our own facility in Faridabad. We do not subcontract any production to third-party factories.

Q2. How do you ensure batch-to-batch consistency for repeat orders?

Three things: single-facility production (same team and equipment every time), standardized processing protocols (documented and followed for every batch), and retain samples from every production run (kept for comparison if a consistency question arises).

Q3. What happens to hair that fails quality inspection?

Hair that fails any of our 5 quality checks is removed from the production batch and not shipped. It is either reprocessed if the issue is fixable (e.g., weight adjustment) or classified as non-export grade and sold separately in the domestic market.

Q4. Can I request a specific processing method for my order?

Yes. If you have specific requirements for processing — such as a particular conditioning treatment, color technique, or construction method — discuss them with us before ordering. We customize our manufacturing process to match buyer specifications.

Q5. How long does the manufacturing process take from raw hair to finished product?

Typical production time is 7–14 days from confirmed order to dispatch-ready product, depending on product type and specifications. Rush production (3–5 days) is available for products using our standard inventory hair.

See the Quality for Yourself — Request Samples

The best way to evaluate our manufacturing process is to hold the product in your hands. Request samples, test the hair on your clients or customers, and decide based on results — not marketing claims.
